Works on Paper

Every idea starts out with a sketch in either pen or pencil. If they start in a sketchbook they will live there and I will choose which ones should evolve. Sometimes it may take dozens of drawings that lead to a number of watercolours that produce maybe one or two lager canvases. This allows me to figure things out without spending a lot of time experimenting on a larger canvas.

There are times when the most exciting part of my art practice exists in the quick marks. Below are some of these images.
